Dream Eater's "human disguise"
The spell he uses mostly reshapes his body, but he has to hide his true nature lest the spell be broken.
He wears a porcelain fox mask to cover up his own vulpine face. Most people just regard him as being an eccentric occultist and ignore his oddities.
He will insert himself into any supernatural investigation, mostly for the fun of watching all these helpless mortals scramble around in confusion.

I could see that ;) I could see a dark animated series based on him... Called something like "Midnight Feast" Sitting there in a darkened table with an unsuspecting soul that has pursued him through years of investigation and finding himself unable to stop listening as Dream Eater recalls events from his past that eventually lead to this very encounter and without the poor soul knowing that this was for his amusement.

Most definitely. That would be an awesome tie together.
I tried writing some horror short story fiction before and was even thinking about a series but it never panned out.
The series was going to be based on a demonic family and cursed objects they each possessed and that garnered the same obsession that the Pandorics from Hellraiser did.
This was the only one that I did with any success called "The Dark Box"
