This marks another stunning commission by the awesome

I am not a huge advocate for halloween, I don't think it's as big-a-deal in the UK as it is in the US but even by the UK standards I don't really celebrate it. I don't buy sweets for trick or treaters, don't dress up, don't decorate the house(s) and don't really do anything different than a usual day in other than not answer the door in the evening (yeah I'm a miserable bastard, I don't decorate at Christmas either).
However, that's not to say that when was offering up halloween portraits I wasn't intrigued by the idea of, what I would now describe as "more metal than ever" picture of my character! Haha, so yeah. This is my halloween celebration, and golly I'm pleased with it XD

An old band I was in worked a bit like that. Our songs were quite old-school metal but we had death metal growls (though the other guitarist had a really good singing voice we used frequently as well) which worked well. Depends how you handle it really, I think a good melody can carry a song whilst the growls give it an edge. And metal and fantasy go very well together, look forward to hearing some of your stuff at some point perhaps!
I've just had a listen now. It depends really, I generally will just do what I feel sounds right when I write something, even if it's "not" as it were (compounded by the fact that my drummer thinks like this too. I was going to post my songs with a rough overdub of him drumming on them until I found the guy claiming other people's work were his own) What do I like personally? Probably the more minor 3rds in the last repeat. What works? Well whatever you feel it needs :)
Ah makes sense and yeah, drummers are really hard to find. Good drummers are even harder. Thankfully one of my best friends is an insane drummer so I've managed to avoid that problem for the most part ;)
But post up some ads on Gumtree, joinmyband, musofinder, bandmix, etc. They are out there you know!

I don't have the funds to commission anyone for art at the moment.
Kind of in a pickle, which I got in trouble for last night.
I went on a shopping splurge and bought a dress and catsuit.
THAT ARE MIND YOU, TOTALLY FUCKING SWEET.
But they're designer and they cost an arm and a leg.
So, the fiance and I had a fight last night.
Soooo... I can't spend money on stupid shit anymore. LOL
Gotta save up to fix my car and move out of this place.

I tend to tease a couple of the women I work with. I own one. ONE pair of footwear, a pair of really battered, seven year old army surplus boots. I like to try and establish the need for 100 pairs of shoes when I can get by with just one. Hahaha ah well, men are from wherever and women are from somewhere else as the old saying goes, somehow.
Not a fan of Metallica, so I had no idea anything was coming out for them haha
