Im saying 'screw the story' at the moment, because it changes too much. All you really need to know about Narsh is that he was born a twin, and the weaker, so he was not meant to be born. He's usually a happy whimsical sort, but occasionally gets depressed because he feels that it is his fault that he and Tae were cast out (Taeli would have ended up a very famous shifter in a better situation because her magic is so strong).

The stronger the magic in a shifter, the more they need to keep changing. If they dont they suffer from epilepsy-like fits, and eventually die. Narsh only has to change every couple of days, Taeli needs to change every two hours or so.
