Any tips for an amateur fractal designer?

Well, it's hard for me to give tips, really. XD ^^; I'm still just learning bit by bit. All I can say is just tinker with each variation and such. ... Well... I guess one thing I can say, to get the two spirals I have like I do, it's good to pull one side down into the triangle. Like, make a line of it, just about, and position it. Same thing can be done with swirls to make something of an S-shaped line. ... How do you normal start your fractals, might I ask?
