Yay, he's done! (maybe) So this is my first attempt at coloring with a program ever. (Gimp Portable) Kinda my first time coloring at all actually, atleast with the whole cell shading thing. Well, I feel somewhat satisfied.
I plan to make him one of my "main" characters on here. So hopefully I will get better at drawing him. Lets see what "adventures" I can get him into (devilish smile) If you look at the original pencil version you will notice how ugly his face was, but as of now I am giving him a somewhat cutesy anime style.
Please give critiques! Truthfulness is a must, but bashing is a must-not. ^_^

The major strongpoint of this, I find, are your colours. You've got a knack for em.
Your anatomy could use more work, as there are a few mistakes in the position and shoulders, but all of that will come with time.
I suggest doing about... 10 pages worth of gesture sketches. What I mean by gesture is capturing the essence of a pose in as little time, and as few strokes as possible. Life drawing might help you become more comfortable with shapes and dimension as well. ^^

I'll start here cuz I fucking love orcs.
You're definately on your way with shading, something I don't have the guts to do yet. Keep refining it and it'll really make your work pop.
Do you sketch out skeleton lines before adding muscle and form? It looks like you know where things go, but they're sliding off kilter just a bit. Check out some comic books or anatomy books for some tips.
Oh, and his face (with the shading) has really great definition.
