I define the end as the point at which one dies. Stating historical fact is not dogma, rather attempting to redefine the historical time line is a far more dogmatic practice than anything I am doing. We call that revisionist history. Also, you assume that time is cyclical in nature. Indeed, the nature of infinite time dictates no beginning and no end, but to assume that to mean a cyclical nature is by definition bounding an infinite concept within a finite construct.
If the end is death, there have been many Jedi who follow only the light that have been killed by those who embrace other paths. I do not assume time is cyclical, only point out the facts of our recent past; that dark and light have ruled over or been subordinate to each other in different periods and surmise that this pattern may likely continue, I do make claim that it shall forever, though it may. This is in no way revisionism.
