I like that idea Lionus. Syd Mead, the "Futurist" designer who's recent work was featured in the movie "Elysium" designed what he called "Alien encounter suits" in the late 1970s. His idea was that if Ambassadors from other worlds felt that their appearance might be upsetting to humans, they'd wear complicated costumes to make their new acquainteances feel more comfortable in their presence. (And vice-versa with Humans as well.) So I like the idea of your "Interstellar Visitors" having a wonderful time at a "Furry" con.
