As I forgot to mention during that IM session, I draw my characters so they can wear pretty much anything, and their identities aren't tied to any particular outfit.

So...why not consider this just another outfit instead of a permanent design change. After all, fall follows summer, and before you know it we'll be trudging through snow again :)

Yeah, it's never a good idea sloshing through snow in sandals :p

One winter, with a lot of snow on the streets, a storefront caught fire around the corner on the main street. While the Fire Dept. fought the blaze, the runoff water was making a big mess in the parking lanes, which were still choked in snow. One of the locals, coming back from a short errand to the small grocery store on the corner had simply slipped on a pair od slide sandals before heading out, and on the way back, misjudged the enormous slush puddle on the other side of the snowbank and sloshed right into it as he hopped across. By the doofus grin on his face, I'd say he probably expected to get wet, but not *that* wet (it was still below freezing at the time)
