When times are peaceful, the armies of Canterlot can train in peace and have plenty of leisure time. That's no excuse to lounge around, of course, as Paladin had to remind his forces frequently. He often would find his troops, still just sprouts when it came to battle and war itself, slacking from their daily routines to flirt or hang around the rec areas all too often. Of course, he would also find the occasional veteran. He himself wasn't too partial to working all day, but it did annoy him a bit to see such laziness so often during the summertime.
On his almost daily route to round up his troops, Paladin stopped for a moment to sigh. It was difficult to find them today.
"They must be trying to outsmart me," He grumbled to himself, scraping his hoof on the ground in frustration. He turned to walk in the other direction when another body pushed him back from moving forward.
"Oh, Pal, don't be such a grump!" Came the ever-familiar voice of his comrade.
"Good afternoon, Rising Dawn."

SOOO I finished another full pony piece. I was going to add background characters, but that's more work than what I already put into this picture haha;;;

I had a lot of fun, of course, especially with Rising Dawn's tail. It looks like stained glass to me, almost.

Paladin belongs to tetsune, and when I designed Rising Dawn a year ago, I knew he'd have something to do with Pal. They don't really have a huge story, yet, but we kind of have some plans. They both work for special forces in Canterlot, Rise being a Summoner and Paladin being... well, you know. A Paladin. A Light paladin.
