Oi, if I had the tools, maybe. But for right now, I'm sticking with leather.

Oddly enough, chain-mail's easy. You just need two needle nosed pliers and ALOT of patience >.<

Sadly, I lack the Patience =P

I've seen others make chain shirts and they're pretty awesome, but that process, for me, is a bit too arduous and repetitive without the desired results that I'd want. Chain's flimsy and doesn't hold any neat shapes that leather can.

Hmm, that's where the patience part comes in. So, you say leather. Boiled leather? Riveted? Or just thick?

10 oz rapid rivited. Not sure how the leather was treated, but considering the thickness and the tanning, I want to say that the leather was wax treated. I'm no expert in treating either, so I may be way off XD

Well I figured cardboard is way cheaper than leather, so if I botch up the prototype I don't have to waste a trilliongazillion buck replacing misused leather =P

Or you can be an idiot like me when I made my fursuit, spend as much as I can on fur and have yards of one color left over and not enough of another color.
