But she is also a pilot, so it's a bit of a toss-up between gold or red (according to TNG codes)

Those were reversed in TOS (red for security/engineering, gold for command/helm).

And then in STO it's red for tactical(security/command/helm) and gold for engineering... though that was more for gameplay reasons so I suppose I can forgive them for that. Still that means extra confusion all around.
