Summer 2011, it was the time, where something started to change.

Every now and then, when the British cruise liner Queen Mary II, has visited the City of Hamburg, people gather in the harbor region to wave the massive cruiser and its passengers’ farewell. Also smaller ships of different type follow the big star liner to escort it during its parade.

This photo must have been taken by one guy that was on one of those smaller ships. It is a zoomed in snapshot of Shian and Ulysses, waiting for the Queen Marry II. It’s rather possibly that the photographer didn’t know those two dragons; neither had he known what was going on in their heads.

‘They should be happy on such sunny day, music was playing all over the place’ the photographer thought to himself. ‘But why are they looking so sad?”

Back then, Shian wasn’t happy anymore about how their relationship was going. Ulysses instead, had no idea, but the slight feeling in his heart, that something wasn’t quite right anymore.

Years after that day, the photographer found out who the black dragon was and managed to send him this photo. In return, Ulysses explained him this situation. After that the photographer had just one question left: “Why were you also looking that sad, despite not knowing what was coming at you?”

The black dragon answered: “I was lost in my thoughts this day, as often back then. Somehow I knew that this would be one of the last sunny days before fall came.”

A pretty sad one this time, because sad moments are parts of our life as well. But don’t be sorrow; those two dragons had much more happy times during their relationship and thanks to friendship and healing wounds, they’ll still have.
