I have been planning a longform comic concerning Adrian and Hildegard. Here's a bit about it:
1. It will be a domestic drama-comedy centered around Adrian and Hildegard. There'll be humor but it's not required all the time and it is geared to have serious storylines too.
2. It will also primarily revolve around their lesbian romance, which will not occur for a while--I think everyone who's followed my art is aware that Adrian and Hildegard have a relationship, but I want to see how organically I can develop it, while at the same time looking at other domestic storylines. It may at times dig into subject matter that interests me, such as gender and sexuality perspectives, family relationships, religion, class, etc.
3. It will carry something equivalent to a PG-13 rating, but won't shy away from raw subject matter like sex--or worse, feminine hygiene. It's also not my intention to, like comics of this sort tend to do, lay on a heavy dollop of fanservice constantly. (I suspect there will be some of that, but it'd be equal-opportunity. My standard approach is to be low-key and casual, not oversexed)
4. The world it takes place in is entirely composed of furries who do not wear pants. (with a few exceptions, I suppose, for things like full-body sealed suits--but otherwise I will be holding to this!). I expect this part to be the strangest to most people.
5. Adrian and Hildegard don't own the club, they just work there. The name is there to be able to have something to title the series; it's otherwise a coincidence.
Besides Adrian and Hildegard I'm already starting to populate the world. The character below Adrian here, Olivia, appears in the script for the first issue. The guys right there are just some extras at the moment.

I'm the guy that runs http://bottomlessroogals.tumblr.com/ on Tumblr and this is the most exciting thing I've seen since the Wolf Children pre-order opening and Kingdom Hearts 3. Like, I know this is gonna make me sound crazy, but the only things that could beat this are me getting a job at the studio I'm applying to or Half Life 3. I am SO PUMPED!
Thanks Rick. By the way, I just got Housepets volume 2 and it looks fantastic. Everyone who picks those up can't stop reading. My little brother read 1 and 2 in a single day. Seriously, your work is addictive. I got Argo and Ten Thousand Miles Up. Really excited about those. You are one of the most important artists in furry media right now, so I am really rooting for this new project. I'm sure it's gonna be great.
