One of the first stories to go up here. This was the result of a really fun panel featuring  kyell ,  blizleopard , and myself.

We were given requirements from the audience and then each of us had an hour to write a story of about 1200 words including all the characters and themes.

The requirements we got were amusing!

Characters had to include: Alligator, Dragonfly, Swan
Setting had to be: Wild West
Themes had to include: species superiority and the railroad coming through
Extra challenges included: one character with a physical disability, a twist of some kind at the end

Here was what I produced with all of that, playing a little fast and loose with the history and science, presented with no edits.
