This is a re-post of my "Hodja the Fennec Sufi," a draft story about a character I developed out of a number of traditional turkish stories about a wise fool named Hodja, lots of other folkloric sources esp. Jewish folklore, as well as my own ideas, including of course rendering them as anthrpomorphic animals.

Reposting it because it's at the very back of my gallery, and one of my favorite things of my own.

Also reposting it because, I really really want to get it illustrated, and have added to it a guide to about 17 illustrations I'd like to see in it. If anyone has any ideas about how I could go about getting *good* illustrations for it, I'm all ears; I'm not rich ATM, and I'm also reasonably picky about the end result, which helps rule out paying someone for the work straight up.

For anyone who wonders, I don't think there's anything offensive in here, and certainly not intentionally so. There's also nothing overtly sexual, though doubtless people will wonder about a couple male foxes who're such troubled but good friends.
