from 16 to 19 October in the year 1813, the Leipziger Völkerschlacht was being fought by Blücher(Prussian General),Karl Johann(Sweden),Schwarzberg(Austrian)and Barclay de Tolly(Russia) against Napoleon Bonaparte over 500 thousand soldiers fought on this battlefield, it was the biggest battle that the world has ever seen in this time.
It was the beginning of the german union, the first time after the Holy Roman Reich, germans fought togehter in a battle.
In this scene you see the charge of the allied guardunits of Prussian and Sweden against the old guard
drawn by the wonderful Saer
characters (from left to right) Nightcore(Prussian Guard Officier),Orna Fulsamee(Sweden Footguard),Lyos(Prussain Sargeant) and Larvagandos (Old Guard)

I'm actually even glad to see another german showing something of their history other than contempt/avoidance of it. As I have several family and friends who are german, I've found alot of rather disturbing things lately. (I'm technically 3rd generation american born on my father's side, but that's whatever..)
I often hear about, what sounds to me, the dismal state of historical studies in Germany these days. Sometimes it seems, from what I've heard, no one in Germany is allowed to be proud of their past (despite darker times, which are indeed addressed) and so are made to hold the whole scope of it with contempt or at least shame. For actions of which they themselves had no part of.
Anyways, back to my original point, this is some very impressive work, and I'm very happy to see another historical depiction being done.
Might I also recommend you have a look at Florian Geyer and the Landsknecht? :3
