Gender of the character shouldn't stop you. I have a couple male characters that are fursuits that I perform even though I myself am a female. I have a primarily female main 'sona, but I identify as a guy sometimes (tomboy through and through =D)

It's all about having fun! Never think the gender of a fursuit character should stop you dead in your tracks <3!

Money-wise though, I definitely feel your pain...so many great suits for sale and you just want them all ^_^

I wasnt able to pay for her, and i need the money for the doctor, so i backed out and asked for a refund, but she hasn't the funds currently.

Her fursonna/character has also changed and no longer looks like this. Also she just got a new suit of another character done. Maybe she just doesn't have room for this partial.
