This is another in a series of earlier drawings of mine, that got published back in the 1990s in a role-playing digest called "The Dallas Brawl Update". There, contributors have their characters interact with the characters of other contributors (either in written or illustrated form).

It was during my period at "DBU" that I came up with the concept of 'Bloat Cola' (an alternative beverage to Jolt Cola), which resulted in a series of 'furry inflation' gags involving some of the digest's regulars (e.g. 'Sister Rat', 'Lincoln Hightower' [a giraffe], Ryu [a dragon] et al).

Needless to say, I wanted to come up with a spin-off beverage (just as Coca-Cola has its Diet Coke [back then], Cherry Coke, and Coke Zero [today]). So, I'd created 'Bloat Light' - a diet version of 'Bloat Cola' - and selected the perfect model to promote the product, in a mock print advertisement I'd drawn for "DBU".

The model in question is Mauve - a female mephit created by mistypine01 (a.k.a. Scott Alston), who has a heavy French accent (the skunk, that is; not Scott) - who became offset by the lighter-than-air belly I'd given her (after she drank some of high-carbonation/low-calorie concoction).

I hope to post more 'Bloat Cola' gags from "The Dallas Brawl Update" later this year. So, keep an eye out for them...
