As if the gods were crying at the loss of a follower, the rain was drowning everything in a wave of cold. The only sound you heard was the drumming of the droplets on the hard concrete, the world seemed to be consumed by it.
Walking down this one path, which led away from his loss, Urtico didn't turn around. He would never look back on the damage he caused or the sacrifices he had to deliver.
He felt dull, his paws were soaked and cold. But everything was just numbing away.
The street became rougher, gravel got caught in his paws.
But was there only this one way? Follow the yellow brick road. Funny, that he thought about that song. That creepy movie clip with those munchkinlanders, speaking with high-pitched voices who seemed to stalk and molest Dorothy the second she would not be careful enough to watch.
That's how he felt. Urtico chose this path from the beginning. Even if he didn't know why he chose it or when, but he did. Now it was too late to turn around, anyway, was it?
No, he would go on. There's no reason in looking back, turning back, going back to what he did.
He would follow his road, he would find a way. He hoped. And even if it meant to walk there alone.

Another Part I would like to try out for the story I'm imagining. I think this is shortly after the downfall of the city.
As for some may know now, this is going to be a story about someone going down the other path than the one of the hero. I want to try out the absolute opposite, because I think it's way more interesting to know why 'the bad guy' turns out to be a bad guy. What happened so he thinks there's no other choice than doing what he does.
Also this picture has a very deep meaning for myself, besides the one explained above. It's just hard to stand infront of a crossway and not knowing where the paths will lead. Some choices just have to be made, even though you know they hurt you more than anyone else.
