So, this is what a lot of people have been expecting since Cooley and I became Anthro Gallery directors at deviantART.... 8D a collaborative work involving us both!
Cooley is an awesome and talented artist, and also famous and popular not only sinde she cares for the anthropomorphic corner of deviantART but because of her wonderful drawings, character designs, and digital artwork style. Bladewind, her most famous design, and almost her own avatar sometimes, is an amazing creation, full of details, and a challenge to work with (something I was hoping to do someday!)
I feel lucky to have had the chance to lure her to work together with this: She has drawn a really unusual image of Bladewind this time, showing her most confident side, a private and intimate situation maybe involving some she could feel even when she always keeps her shields up: I guess that's why she looks tender, affective and also like really caring for skifi, but still feels a bit wary, something you can see on her face.
I'm really proud of this piece even if I needed WEEKS to finish it and give it the final look I wanted for the whole composition, thanks also to David (linked in the credits) because his stock photos are always wonderful. Now it's your turn to judge it and give us the good constructive criticism and feedback we always love to get ;3 It's up to you, give me your best shoot!
...and, last but not least, I must get it off my chest: Bladewind's design is cool but..... so detailed and complicated, it seemed to last forever to color and shade her! :o I enjoyed it to bits, but never ever worked with a character taking me so much time to finish!!! XD;;;
