I have watched my people be cut down for over three centuries, wanderer. I have seen entire generations fall down the gluttonous throat of merely one of the sky-terrors that lurks just beyond the safety of these walls. Perhaps once they knew of kindness, perhaps once they knew of the balance of all things - but no longer. I have stood by and watched grow bolder and more destructive with the turn of every year.
I have chosen to stand by no longer. I have chosen to forge the spearhead that will either humble these beasts or destroy them - when the breath fades from my body it will not be in the cramped tunnels of the underground, nor will it be in the bowels of any sky terror.
My last breath will be taken in the free air of a world in which my people will no longer feel fear.
When my name is uttered, wanderer - long after the fire and blood - he who speaks it will feel their blood boil, they will hear the earth rumble beneath their feet... for my rage will never be quenched. I shall chase these beasts in this life, and when I enter the next - not even death will allow them to escape me.
