Just some silliness -- as a review for her chocolate blog, my wife (TJ) was testing out some chocolate model making kits from Magic-Choc. It's moldable chocolate that softens after you work it with your hands a bit (it comes with anti-bacterial hand wipes to use before starting), and a kit comes with discs of white, milk, and dark chocolate that you can shape and assemble, then eat. Some friends came over to help, and one of them brought his two daughters, who are 6 and 8 years old, so we could all make things out of chocolate. The girls kept suggesting someone make a Minion from Despicable Me, so after making a choc-o-dile, I made this guy. The older of the two girls made the hair. No I didn't give him overalls; he's a capsule shaped round creature.

The chocolate is pretty good, though it reminds me of Tootsie Rolls in how it tastes. It's chewy when you eat it, as you might imagine, since it's moldable. The only difference in the ingredients between this stuff and regular chocolate is glucose syrup, so maybe that's how Tootsie Rolls are made too (or perhaps used to be made). The white chocolate tastes basically like sweetened cocoa butter, which is what white chocolate is anyway.
