Yeah rabbits are especially susceptible to stylization/lack of referencing issues, since the realistic herbivore eyes are generally not desirable and the presence of so many over-stylized rabbits in the media creates a lot of confusion with regards to noses and ears.
Fortunately I've never had this problem with people calling my characters the wrong species. But I can see how annoying it would be.
And how the hell does anyone think that K is a rabbit or a fennec??? K doesn't look anything like them.
And have to agree with the rabbit thing; I can't understand why some people draw cat noses on them, nor why their ears bend like that. :T

Hah hah IDK "it has large ears therefore it is a rabbit or fennec"? I get it *a lot* though.... Then eventually they start noticing things like hands and tail feathers and are like "... wait....... waiiiit....."
The cat noses are silly because bunny noses are so cute. Flopped ears are cute too though so I can see the artistic liberty there. And hey if someone wants a rabbit character with a cat nose that's fine too! But they should be aware that it is a cat nose and not a bunny nose.

I KNOW, I love bunny noses. ;_; And yeah, they don't bend. :I But these guys' ears are ridiculous.
