Just something a little special for my Den.

The most amazing people in our lives, we meet in the most amazing of ways. This is the case with Den and Strider so much as it is for the_spiner and me. I gush on him cause I can. He's been my shoulder, my shelter, my rock, my inspiration, and my Mr. Awesome.
...Strider guessed going to the park was a good idea. Of course, at Den's suggestion, more like constant nagging, the bull caved in an chose to visit the park. The afternoon sun shone down as the couple strolled hand in hand. Strider could think of several things to do, except visiting the park, on a Saturday. For one there was much needed sleep.
Den pulled him along the trail winding about the park's greenery. She smiled back at the green eyed bouncer. He seemed lost in his own world. Maybe dreaming of a soft mattress and a few more hours rest. A frown fell over the tabbit's normally cheerful face.
"You act like a breath of fresh air and sunlight kill you. Cheer up!" She said groping at his forearm.
Strider on the other hand snorted at her glee. He preferred other activities besides jolly romps in the "great outdoors". But if it brought the little tabbit joy he'd play along for now. Seeing her face light up was adorable. Though he couldn't understand why the park.
The tabbit saw a far off gazebo surrounded by a fountain and wooden benches. She noticed the bull lagging behind. His hooves slowly picked up the pace but he showed no signs of speeding up. All hope lost. Until...
Den stopped at the side of the trail giving a sigh, then heave. She instantly fell to her knees. Strider stopped in his tracks looking at the kneeling tabbit. The small lagomorph kept her gaze down acting as if exhausted. Her bull companion strode up beside her putting his hand on her shoulder.
"You, OK?" Den took the opportunity and whimpered.
"No. Weak from all the walking. My poor heart, yes my heart. It aches! Carry me?" The lapine hybrid clasped her hands together giving her most pathetic face possible. Her lower lips jutted out creating the perfect little pout that won men over. The bouncer fell for it hook, line, and sinker.
In a matter of moments the tabbit had been hoisted over the bull's shoulders resting there nicely. Den grabbed him roughly by the right horn steering the bull in another direction. Strider stopped mid stride and smirked. Leave it to the clever little thing to pull her "woe as me" routine. Hey, he fell for it!
He couldn't help but blush at his lovely, little tabbit's ruse. Down the path she guided them till at last the reached the gazebo and benches as seen before.
"Why of all the underhanded..." Strider said.
"Hey, shush. I admit deception is my least favorite tactic but I wanted to come this way. Besides, I couldn't think of better way to spend my day with the bull who means the world to me."...
