This is Bates
He's our cat. Well, not really, he's our neighbor's cat, but he seems to like it at our house a lot more than he does at his. Over there his name is "El Gato Diablo", and has grumpy owners, so I took it upon myself to rename him and cuddle him.
I can't let him in the house, unfortunately, because my stepdad is allergic (and technically he's not really my cat, so it'd be awkward if I let him in my house), but he likes to hang out in our garage and shed and eat all the mice in there. He also sleeps under our porch and plays with our puppy Scout.
anyway. Bates. He's super sweet.

You give him love, he eats your mice.
I had a similar situation with a cat on my old street - it didn't hang around my house very much because we had dogs, but would lay in the driveway/front garden before I came home from school. I didn't know whose it was at first, so me and my friend (after a debate whether it was male or female) named it Nyx. Later I found out it belonged to a family on the same street, and they had called it 'Meowy'. I felt sorry for the lovely cat.
