These adventurers are going to have to buy their red dragon scale mail hauberks from Krazy Akbar's Discount Store, because the red fella is not going to lose this fight. Better run while you still have a chance, guys.
The dark-haired warrior is called Morgain Smith and the little dude next to him is a cowardly necromancer called Darrol Argeledougal. On the foreground you can see his ghost friend Sam.

Cowardly necromancer? I thought that was obvious. They're emo kiddies anyway: "CRAAAWLING IN MY ROOOOOBES! THESE WOOOOOUNDS REQUIRE ELIXIR!"
Anyway, for an additional comedy element, you should've stuck little text fields above their heads along with their levels, and a chat screen with leet speek...BAM! Instant MMORPG action!
Love the drawing though, especially the little details, like the glitter on the dragon's scales and the goatee. His right wing (the one behind him) looks a little odd though, and almost seems like it was added as an afterthought due to the lesser amount of detail.

Haha! I loved that particular vgcats comic strip! And I guess you hardly see a necromancer in a melee fight against a dragon. Damn those ninnies.
Now that I think about it, the text fields might've been a nice element. Me and my boyfriend have played Ultima Online for a couple of years with these very same characters and I think we've even been in a situation pretty similar to this one.
I must admit that I'm not very good at drawing dragon's wings. I thought that bending the wing would make it look natural, but it ended up looking a bit freakish. o_O But hey, many thanks for the fave and taking the time to comment! It's muchly appreciated! ^_^

First I must congratulate on the awesome scale texture and the dragon anatomy, pray do tell, what texture did you use.
Also that guy looks like a party of rookie that have a bit too much confidence in themselves. They only got one life in here though *giggle*
If I would speak though, the texture of cave floor is a bit ... too artificial.
Also, myself drew dragons (and birds) with slits instead of sheaths, but it is personal preference, I guess.

I used one of the custom pattern textures that came with Photoshop... I think it was a rock pattern of some sort. I blurred it a bit and then applied a watercolour filter. Then I added some dodge brush here and there. Violin! C'est la dragon. ^_^
As for the dungeon floor and the background, yeah, they're really cheap. I just used a cobblestone brush I made and well... stuff. I find it very hard to concentrate on backgrounds because I really don't know how to paint them properly and I don't really know how to do the lineart for them either. Meh. *<_<*

A thousand thanks, Dook! ^^
The scales were easier to do than I at first thought. I only shaded the basic red colour with a filter pattern that was on a separated layer. I did the additional glittery scales by drawing little scale-shapes with a lasso tool and adding some dodge brush on the selected area.

that is an awesome looking dragon, I love the look on the dragons face, and the sense of scale, among other things about the dragon, and sorry if I'm not talking about the (doomed) dudes instead of the dragon, but dragons rock and are made of awesomess so :) ( I faved this a while back;) )
