I LOVE THIS

This has a very dark emotional atmosphere - vent art always makes me a little leery/worried and I'm never quite sure how to respond to it...(my overbearing socially awkward side is screaming at me not to comment at all) But, this is a really cool, very well-drawn piece. I like it a lot.

It's okay, I understand. Usually I don't like to make a big deal out of anything and I just get on with things but there are times when I just think about everything that's happened, all the losses I've suffered...and I can't help but sinking into 'that dark place'.

Still, it usually results in powerful art I'm happy with so I guess it's not all bad. A lot of it is my own fault for always bottling up my emotions and being so laid back/optimistic, but that's way deep under the surface...there's nothing to worry about.

Well, when you put it that way, it's probably healthy to use art as an outlet. And, it's also true that typically when I see vent art, I do like how it looks. I guess, as they say, every cloud has its silver lining! In any case, awesome work. And it's good that there are optimistic and laid back folks out there. I don't see much of that anymore; everyone always seems so gloomy...

I actually preferred the WIP you showed on Twitter, I think the crisp lines worked better?

Oh really? I actually liked that one too but I wanted to break away from my usual style and try experimenting with lineless art...and perhaps something not so cartoony for once haha XD

Can emphasize with how you feel. I get that sometimes too. I often visualize it as trying to traverse and breathe through thick smoke and your drawing has elements of it.

At any rate, hope you feel better for venting it.
