We're coming up on what's touted to be one bad mother of a summer season in our neck of the woods and this would make things SO much easier for convention/charity appearances that fill out my schedule every year.
...when you get this situated for Aussie fursuiters, for the love of everything awesome and fuzzy, let us know, please?
I am SO getting one =D

If I may suggest, you should definitely make a second video for non-costuming purposes such as for industrial use. My company has looked into buying cooling vests of various types and from what I remember they pay many times more for each vest than what you're charging here, for vests that last maybe 30-45 minutes.
In my line of work one of the things we process is chili peppers, very dusty and extremely hot from capsicum, which requires dressing up in a tyvek suit and respirator similar to this (http://www.leadsmarttraining.com/Po.....esized-600.jpg). Despite all complaints and rationale otherwise my company seems to get a boner running these things in the summer when it's 95°F out and putting us at risk of heat stroke no matter how much sense it makes to run chilies in the winter. They've tried ice vests, vests with liquid tubing and has to be used with a very impractical cooler to carry around, and vests that are cooled by an expensive CO2 bottle that lasts about 45 minutes at best. The crap they have for us now is a forced-air helmet that runs on batteries set them back $1200 each, and they're junk. If my coworkers and supervisors were to see something about your vest in an industrial application, lasting 2-3 hours and being a very reasonable price, they'd probably be very interested.

I'm fairly certain I'll be getting one of these, but it will probably have to wait until December as I have a potentially expensive trip coming up at the beginning of November and FC coming up in January. In December I should have a better idea of my finances and whether or not I can actually afford one.
All info about the differences between H2O-gel and PCM inserts can be found here:

Isn't this quite dangerous?
According to the way the vests are attached to the body they cover the kidneys too. My doctor once told me it can be very bad for the kidneys if they are cooled down too fast and this can have a big influence on your health.... Correct me if i'm wrong, but shouldn't that be considered?

Okay, I did some quick research. Kevin Peter Hall, the actor who was working inside the Harry suit for "Harry and the Hendersons", did indeed contract pneumonia as a result of wearing a cooling vest.
However...
His immune system was heavily compromised by HIV that he got from a blood transfusion. He was in full-blown AIDS at the time, and the cooling vest was a prototype that used far too much cooling.
So the poor man had three strikes against him: prototype vest, heavy exertion far beyond anything a fursuiter would ever encounter and compromised immunity.

Interesting! Though I must admit, as a larger chested woman, I was hoping to see at least one or two females share their experience with the vest, or at least a mention of female wear for it. Do you (or any of the makers/manufacturers/female wearers) have any comments about performance for the female demographic population?
Since the vest cools you down at a very safe and comfortable 57ºF, there is absolutely no health risk involved. Variations of this vest (using exactly the same PCM inserts) are being used by the US military which means they meet the highest safety requirements imaginable.
I just put some info on our website regarding your question. Please have a look here: http://ezcooldown.com/web-store
I agree with
wintersnowolf on this one. Have you guys had any females test this product or will you be having any females test it? It would definitely open up the market for more customers.

If you look at http://ezcooldown.com/sizes-fit, you'll see that our size L will fit anyone with a height of 180 – 210 cm (5 ft 9 inches – 6 ft 8 inch) and a waist of 90 – 160 cm (35.4 – 62.9 inches). I haven't met a fur yet who is too big for a EZCD cooling vest ;)
Yes we did and the Australian webstore is now open:

i just wanted to clarify that i am doing things right, as i was expecting free shipping but it mentions the shipping being $20 during checkout. is it just a pricing change since the submission? i was also curious what discounts might be available for purchasing more than one item.
Shipping within the US is $ 20.00 that's correct. There will be an option very soon which offers you the opportunity to pick op your order at a various cons in Europe and the US without shipping costs.
If you order more vests, a discount can always be discussed. Please send me a dm or email me: info [at] ezcooldown [dot] com

I have a query about the Aussie site: I'm trying to add the large-sized vest to my wishlist (as I'm still saving up for the full total of everything!), but it keeps turning up as the small-sized vest in the wishlist when I go to view it in its entirety.
Is this supposed to happen like that, or is it when I go to checkout everything that can I alter the size of the vest then?
Thanks, sugah <3

Got this for Christmas and I really liked it when I tested it! Review here:

From here it seems to work fine and we still receive orders. We'll see into it a.s.a.p. Sorry for the inconvenience. The direct link to the N.A. webstore is http://shop.ezcooldown.com/
Hi there, Just checked all the links and they seam to be working correctly. There was issue a while back with Windows and IE in 'app' mode but this was solved, could you try clearing your cache and trying again? If that fails feel free to drop me a note and I can look in to it further. Thanks Malamutt
I must ask, does this work just with fursuiters or costuming? or would you be able to wear them with a regular outfit?
I've been looking for something like this for years because of my ectodermal dysplasia, and getting one of these things would help me a lot with keeping cool since i can't sweat...

We hear different opinions from female fursuiters with big breasts. For some 't works, for some it doesn't. The best way to find out is to try one if you have the possibility
We offer vests for testing during Eurofurence. In the US have vests in the dealers den at Anthrocon and Midwest Furfest.

You can safely travel with your cooling vest in your checked baggage.
You might want to pack a copy of your invoice and our Product Safety Data Sheet with your vest, just to be sure.
The PSDS can be downloaded here:

So far we've never heard of any problems with our cooling vests and bringing them on airplanes.

You wear the vest under your suit, otherwise it wouldn't be 'virtually invisible' right ;)

well it might be due to the humidity, but even then this'll work like a chm!
If you're under the sun all day then by all means get it, but watch out if there's any extra humidity forming on the vest itself. Don't want to run around in a soaking wet shirt inexplicably, no?

I gots me one and unfortunately my current fursuit is too tight to wear this underneath. However I HAVE been using it on the job. I work in the Mojave Desert on the RR. I can say it gives incredible cooling AHHHH for a solid hr and 1/2 in temps almost at 110 F. Bury the cooling packs in ice water and they are good to go again in seems like just a few minutes. Can't wait to try with my new fursuit which is being made with the room for the vest.
Head cooling is very difficult due to the many different fur head constructions. Also, the hair on your head creates an insulating layer which makes cooling inefficient (unless you're bald of course).
As an alternative we offer PCM CoolCollars. A lot of arteries and veins in the neck are located close to the skin’s surface. This makes the neck a very effective cooling zone.

It does! In that case, it's best to wear a white t shirt over it as the black vest absorbs sunlight.
A better solution is to go for the hybrid cooling vest: http://ezcooldown.com/other-products

Cooling the torso effects the whole body by your blood circulation.

I work trackside as a marshal/flagger/corner worker for amateur and professional sports car races. On those really hot days one of these would be perfect as well as be used while fur suiting.
I'm not in a position to make the investment yet but your product has multiple uses and markets albeit both pretty niche. But I will be looking to place an order in the future more than likely.

I was wondering if there was a way to internalize it? and perhaps use syntehtics so it wouldn't need fuel to charge but rather a coolant to always be cooling actors off with no need for ice or things that get warm and melt over time? For some, a ballistic-styled cooling vest might be a bit... intimidating...
