This was something else from a doujinshi I worked on basing upon season 4, but it'll never get finished let alone posted for personal reasons. I just liked this panel a lot and decided to colorize it. The background is from a screenshot (with slight modifications with Photoshop).
Anyways, this is basing upon the episode "Scion of the Shredder" when Karai and her men attack the turtles and Master Splinter. Karai was trying to find Leonardo, but fortunately for him, he was in Japan with the Ancient One. Unfortunately for the others, they were stuck in battle.
I consider NiNi possibly taking a bit of a leadership role during Leonardo's absence mainly because she's angry with Karai for not only stabbing him, but mainly because the fact that she betrayed him so many times. So of course NiNi was going to be the type to snap in trying to get the others to leave while she tried to hold everyone off in the meantime.
Unfortunately for her, she doesn't stand her ground and ends up getting knocked out in the process then taken away by Karai.

As you probably know there is not chance of April going after any of the guys since her and Casey pretty much hook up during the Ninja Tribunal (the title of the dvd collecting the season FOX chose not to initially show in favor of TMNT: Fast Forward) conclusion.
And I like NiNi, maybe it's how you draw her but she looks like she would fit into the turtle's world, at least the animated one ^.^

Never saw much of the show before recently. Just started looking up some episodes on you tube and looked up the one you mentioned above. Watched it and Love it!
I can't remember the art work, but someone mentioned a Christmas (at least I think it was Christmas) episode where Leo gets totally smashed up and returned to the others via thrown through a window. I don't know what to look for to find it. Do you know the episode?

Oh! You must be referring to the comic version. Leo did get smashed through a window in April's apartment in the 2003 series (not during the x-mas holiday in that version, but in the comics he did!) That episode is "Shredder Strikes Back" Part 1. You can search that or try TMNT S01E17. ^^
