For my Calligraphy workshop, we have to do a final project and one of the options was making a Japanese-bound book. I'm doing that, and filling it with weird little illustrations that have... somewhat... to do with a bunch of random Classic rock songs.
I'm not sure if I'll end up putting all of them up here (I don't know how many there will be), but I'll probably put more up later.
This here is an illustration for Blue Oyster Cult's song "Don't Fear the Reaper". It's a song that is essentially about suicide (okay... well the leader singer basically says its not promoting suicide, but is actually about eternal love, and death, and that it's a "love song where the love transcends the actual physical existence of the partners", BUT THERE'S STILL HIGHLY IMPLIED SU-I-CIDE!)... and so it makes perfect sense to have a scene of a tea-party, with the Grim Reaper in a random cemetery. PERFECT SENSE!
And that is a really happy teapot. Someone pointed out how it had no handles, so they couldn't pour it. Why do you people have to notice logical flaws? >:c
