Found this in my files - the proposed cover for the story of my little trip thru bureaucratic hell in 1995-96. But by the time the pain had faded enough for me to write almost objectively, Bush was in power, and had opened real concentration camps in Guantanamo bay. My misadventures would have sounded inconsequential in comparison. So this book never happened. But I still like the cover design. And yes, I lost a lot of weight in that camp.

How reliable are those sources? It seems to me that the CIA wouldn't have bothered with "rendition" - that is, flying people to other countries where they could be tortured without interference - if they could just torture people right here at home.
Ergh. America, land of the recourseless prisoners and their torturers. Remember when America was the land of the free? I sure miss those days.

Are these the same sources that claim global warming is a man made problem even though other planets in the solar system are heating up too? The same group that says pollution is higher today because of America, even though there's a brown cloud over China and emissions standards here are higher than they've ever been? Is it the same sources that claim terrorism will just go away if we ignore it?
And these "consentration camps",they have mass graves, executions, and "medical experiments" like "Lets rip out this person's unborn child and see how long it can survive." Seriously,Karno, what happened to you that was just so terrible? Further,if it's so bad,why the hell do you live here? I wanna know. Shit or get off the pot, man.

That first sentence in the second paragraph was supposed to have a question mark at the end. It should read like this: And these "consentration camps",they have mass graves, executions, and "medical experiments" like "Lets rip out this person's unborn child and see how long it can survive"?
Funny how a little punctuation error can change a question into an accusation.

That's conCENtration camp, and I don't see what China's emission standards have to do with what happened to me. Are you perhaps a Rush Limbaugh devotee? I'm here because I like the country, and have good friends here. I don't confuse the great people here with their corrupt-to-the-point-of-madness government. Let's hope you don't find out the diffrerence the hard way, too.
I think you failed slightly at reading comprehension. What happened to Karno was by his own admission an annoyance, there may be debate as to whether or not the prison at Guantanamo counts as a concentration camp or not but either way Karno has said not that what he suffered was in any way concentration-camp like but rather that compared to Guantanamo reciting his own experinces would just sound whiny.
I second that. Not to mention Joe-Blow (Merlynn27) failed to do his history about what a Concentration Camp is. The US has had C.C.'s before, as 'Interment Camps' for citizens of Japanese descent during WW2. These were Concentration Camps, but did not have the mass graves, executions, medical experiments and other things more associated with C.C.'s popular in the press. I do kinda get the connection to Gitmo, as a waning as to what we could have been becoming. The very same authoritarian State-type we fought against a number of times, where we lock up those we just don't like. The only reason I would doubt classifying Gitmo as a C.C. would be it's small size.
Just my opinion.

I like how he's bugging you for sources, and doesn't provide anything to back his own play.
I guess because he mentioned 'pot' first, he'd know mare about it.
I'm not much a conspiracy buff, but I do perk my ears up when something doesn't sound quite right.
Way to go, Karno!

I miss those days, too, darlin'.
I'm not going to go any more into the subject, though, because it's already starting something. :I
I WILL say, though, that I love how you took a red background and made white barbed wire; like it represents the stripes of the American flag. Very clever.
