So I drew this a few years ago: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4747538/
Been wanting to kinda "redraw" it or do a second version of it. Decided I didn't wanna paint it this time (though the mini background here is still painted). Played around with lighting and screwed around with stuffs.
As much as I say I can't draw humans that's a lie. I just prefer not drawing them.
I swear though...death follows Conan every-freakin'-where he goes. If he's not subconsciously a death god, he's certainly got one following him around everywhere. XD

Thanks! <3
I have other stuff, but it's not really all that recent. ^^; I think I draw like...1 human thing a year. XD
I find it funny I was never bothered by any of my teachers by that. I clearly only drew animals for all my animation stuff but no one really seemed bothered by it. They were always bothered by the people who drew in "anime style", but not by the fact that my limit was usually only animals. ^^;

Well you should totally draw more! :D Unless you hate every minute, then....probably not. Have you ever tried making fanart to sell at anime cons? I used to do that in college for extra cash and I'd pull in $300 - $1500 profit in a weekend. I did painted stuff though, my work doesn't translate well into prints (I tried and it failed). ^_^; You have to be picky about the cons you go to though, I went to some small ones that mainly attracted highschoolers and I made maybe $50. The $1500 was at ACEN, but there's also more competition so unique items are a huge plus!
Haha, I can see that! They were fine with my drawing style until sophmore year when they found out I liked anime. After that everything I made that wasn't ultra realistic was pegged as anime. ;-;

I don't hate every minute of it. But there's also very few series that I get inspired to do fan art of the human characters for. I also don't like making prints. First con I tried selling stuff at was Acen (that was only 'cause a friend of mine was splitting the table between 3 people). I made $80 but I spent $300 getting stuff printed and in the end didn't sell any of the prints. I still have all of 'em. Also tried selling buttons and charms at Anthrocon and didn't really make out with that much either (around $160 but for the amount I spent to get to AC and the amount spent on the buttons and charms...kinda not worth it). I probably wouldn't think of doing prints again. I'm not popular enough to have an audience that would like to buy prints. If I did do more anime fan art (that isn't pokemon or digimon or other monster critters), I'd think of just making big, full scale traditional art. That way I'm not spending tons on prints. I think traditional stuff might sell more also it'll work in art shows too.
I dunno...I think I might do a little better at a small con especially with these buttons and charms 'cause 1) not popular so I'm not being overshadowed by all the popular artists out there who only travel to larger cons and 2) they're cheaper to travel to and work at than larger cons so even if I'm spending money, it's not as much as most of the larger cons. There's a stronger possibility that I could just break even (which I've yet to do...). So I'm hoping that I'll do well enough at Con Alt Delete in December. ^^;

Same. But the story's kinda dragging to me. The plot's being ignored and Aoyama knows when exactly to throw in bits of actual plot to keep people interested and thinking the story's going somewhere and then backing away from it to keep his (very clear) "cash cow" rolling. I like the show, but I would like it to start moving in a certain direction.
