The first few months were slow. He tried all of the machines to find what he was good at, and what he could improve. Unfortunately, most fell under the ladder. At the sixth month, he decided to check his progress. All over his lithe, soft-furred body, he traced his fingers along the muscles, feeling the subtle definition of his frame. The feeling made him shutter, to have a fraction of what he envied for, but he let out a sigh of discouragement. He wanted more muscles, but after six months he'd barely made any improvement. This made his face stagnant with grief. As if sensing his thoughts, an odd looking hybrid sauntered towards him, a comforting smile across his canine muzzle. His odd frame and formal wear made it obvious he didn't frequent the gym to work out. His eyes scanned over Alpha, who gave a confused loom to the stranger. The man's smile grew wider as he grabbed for something in his pockets. From it, he pulled out what Alpha could only assume was a necklace. The man opened his hand revealing an amulet in the shape of a bull's head, a garnet on its forehead with an unnatural gleam. The mysterious man took Alpha's hand, and set the necklace in it, insisting that he should put it on. He explained that it could give him exactly what he wanted. Hypnotized by the man's words, he couldn't help but to be curious about what he meant.
