Heeee the technical drawing is fun, but I especially totally love your filking/re-wording of the hip hop song. ^^ I'm glad if Obsolete Weapons had anything to do with this! I never did too much with Battletech, but I did grow up with a little bit of geekery from it at least thanks to an old Battletech RPG video game on the Commodore 64 called 'The Crescent Hawk's Inception.' Watched my brother play it when I was young, later played through a bunch of it myself and enjoyed it but was never able to finish it. Was cool stuff though!
Also I have to ask, in your own words for the song... there's a 'Ryoken' in there. I associate that with the dragony artist on this very site, who I totally dig, but is that like the name of a battlemech too?

Also, if you're not a mechnut, I have to get you into this. |D And... *leans in* I have to show you some things *whispers* <that bring this fictional tech teasingly within our reach, by delightfully low-tech means> *ahem* but shhh. ;3
Mmm, it sounds like you tapped into the slower harder-to-figure slower pace BattleTech games. You really.... really needta try the computer games, and you'll see what I mean. Oh my gosh, half the fun of the game is the massive tinkering to no end of the Mechs and tech, it would really be up your alley to try. And you needed to play the glorious classic Mech 2 mercenaries, and the infinitely-custonmizey Mech 3, and now https://mwomercs.com/ (don't have a PC for it yet, but am going to be SO on that once I do!) makes sure that this game will live on. Possibly till major firms or governments see the light and realize how useful ACRs and AgroMechs and IndustrialMechs and BattleMechs are. (and these things already exist around us IRL, hiding in plain sight, if you know what you're looking for, but shhh)
And Ryoken is the... is *one* name for a certain 'Mech. The Ryoken/Stormcrow is a highly successful design, highly dangerous, highly overheating 55-ton medium class mech that often comes loaded out with combinations of fiery laser weaponry of highly penetrative FAT GAUGE ballistic weaponry. It has a big fast engine, jump jets so this thing FLIES, and piles of advanced tech, and it can piss with and beat the 70 ton Mechs. XD Of course the 45-ton Shadowcat can take the piss with the 90-ton assault class mechs.... OOOPS. 8C *shrug* XDDD

Yeah, Crescent Hawk's Inception was neat and presented a pretty interesting world, but it was kinda slow-paced and very much RPGish and didn't really give you any ability I can recall to actually customize your mechs. Even so it was still enough to sweep me up a bit, and a bunch of my subsequent Battlech geekery then came from like.... actually being in a comic book/gaming shop with my brother once and seeing this old secondhand totally-beat-to-crap book that was like a Battletech technical manual with info on a whole bunch of different kinds of mechs. So I bought that and just oogled it for the next few years. XD The game I played only really had you dealing with a small variety of light mechs too, so plenty of the bigger ones I never encountered. You were usually running in a Locust, those small but loveable lil chicken leg ones... and later on your party ended up with a Stinger and a Commando, too. Fun stuff, but yeah when I compared all that to that manual I found, there are a lot of bigger and more hardcore options out there! I should totally see about getting into some of these other games you speak of sometime.
Also, rap music really really lends itself to rhyming totally ridiculous things, and you can both laugh at it AND take it seriously, because they're saying unrealistic BS, but doing it with really expensive videos and liquor and cars and renting out to the Air Force apparently. XDDDDD I will never get enough of that.
Those autocannons it can hold are really dangerous if you can get in close. I was actually playing Mech3 just like a couple weeks ago and fell down for the first time ever in over 10 years of playing it, because an Annihilator in one level ran away and ended up regrouping with ANOTHER Annihilator in this thin, long tunnel and they just tore me up.
(still killed the Clanner scum though)
