Here's Etude number 24 in a minor. Another one often used for All-State auditions. There are a lot of sudden dynamic changes, which make this one more interesting than some etudes, which can seem kind of aimless. The style of this one is kind of like a tragic Italian opera aria. Seen in that light I probably could take a lot more liberties with tempo and phrasing than I did.
The ending for this one is very strange, if you play it as printed in my edition, the last note ends on a trill. This is almost surely a mistake, but I like to trill the last note anyway, to see if I can make it "work."

About the etude project:
I've been challenging myself to practice a different etude every day and prepare it to the best of my ability in one day. This has been very helpful, but I wanted to add an additional element of pressure/nervousness. So I started recording them to post here.
It's not a real performance- I usually record these in a couple of takes and put them together later. I'll try to do them in a single take when possible, but usually I'll break them up.
