Panda is her name. I quickly painted this for my friend while she was visiting. This is her dog. =)

Thank you! This was something of a prototype. I painted it while chatting with my friend about the possibility of making these kind of digital commissions for people with pets. My dad is going to show this pic to a couple of dog owners he knows from work. With luck someone might be interested in ordering a picture from me, which would be sweet. ^_^
All I need is some time, a photo of your doggy for reference and... I dunno, some English candy? It only took about an hour for me to make this and I was mainly just trying out some fur pattern brushes while chatting with Jossu about the possibility of painting these kind of pics for wealthy dog people who might actually pay me something for having their mutts painted digitally, who knows... xD
Nah, I cheated. Firstly I traced her outlines from a resized photo and I used a custom brush, so I didn't have to paint the fur one hair at a time. If you look at the dog's behind you can see I didn't do a very careful job. The lines are a bit mussed up there... I still kinda like her expression. =)

Used to have both pacific boa's, king boa's, ball python's and Mackloti's..
But unfortunantly they turned illigal to have where i lived and we had to give them all away
Snake's are kinda hard to draw - especially when they slither around all the time, no way of taking a great shot to draw from. And they interfere when you draw them live.. curling around the pencil!

Panda's a little fuzz ball full of energy, that's for sure.
Too bad you couldn't get to the server... We had a good game going on. My bf and me defended this one base for several minutes just by ourselves. He played a heavy guy, I was his trusty medic on a leash. It was so much fun that in the end we didn't feel bad at all even though we lost. ^_^

It's a shame ( I blame the Atlantic ocean), but I did find a couple of great servers myself. On a weird note, in one instance I managed to get on your server, I actually found you on the same team and tried to keep up, but I got booted again.

Thank you! I'm hoping I might sell these for wealthy dog owners who collect art of their pooches without paying much attention to the actual quality of the artwork. My friend told me that she knows several targets for that sort of business. I don't mean that I wouldn't try to do a good job, but painting mutts from reference is not that hard. It would be easy money. =)
It was a speedy experiment and I think it took a bit more than an hour or so.

It was something like a speed paint, I guess, 'cause it only took an hour whereas I normally struggle for hours and hours to produce something even remotely realistic and human. But I don't want to take too much credit for the outcome. As I mentioned above, I had a photo and a friend to help me out. I could've never painted something like this straight out of my head. So hush! ^^;;

I started with blue and painted the black fur on it before I started messing around with the push tool. I think black always looks better when there is some other color peeking through from underneath it.

Yeah, though it's the same for cats... My two tomcats shed so much fur I could build a third cat from all that hair. ^_^
Btw, I included your character in the next Troublesome Relationship comic although I haven't yet colored the thing. I hope you don't mind... It's sexually suggestive and I think it will go under the mature tag, but I didn't draw any naughty bits or anything.
