The 122nd Tactical Fighter Wing, Indiana Air National Guard, was operating the F-4D Phantom fighter-bomber in the mid-1980s when they came to Phelps-Collins ANG Base, Alpena Michigan during our Summer Encampment. This 16-ship formation flew overhead during Pass In Review ceremonies. CAP cadets in flight school ("Zoomies")got to fly once around the pattern in the back seat.
