Funny thing, the lines on Chesnaught's body may or may not be based on an arming coat/gambeson, which is also a form of protective padding.

I guess the main difference between both kinds of padding is what they're designed to absorb.

Please please please tell me what you use to get the shading so smooth! I use the airbrush tool in SAI, but I can't get it anywhere near as smooth and lifelike as this!
