A 'colored sketch' commission for  tobi3B.

What makes these commissions quick is that I rather than the other way around, I make a very rough sketch (almost no cleanup), color directly over it with markers, and then lay the inks on top. The inks are a lot thicker and less strained than on, for examply, my badges. I also don't take the time that I take sometimes to look up references and usually draw from memory, and the character reference for the colors (though I draw toony animals, I tend to look up photos from every possible angle to fully understand the shape before I make a caricature of it).

This is a really nice way of working but in this case it was pretty challenging! I had never drawn a 'taur' character before, and I also wanted to make this character look a little more elegant which is not really my usual thing. Also human arms and shoulders... oy. I hope this looks allright, in any case I had fun inking the paws and stripes :)
