Anyhow, been looking at some of the old outfits from the 80s toys...and it's kind of funny in a way, but a lot of them remind me of the Gothic Lolita fashion trends. Full of lace and frilly stuff and ribbons everywhere. I kind of miss that in toys like Strawberry Shortcake...the modern ones are kind of boring since they're just like normal kids, but with multicolored hair. Old ones used to have tea-party-esque costumes and giant berry hats. Then there was Lady Lovely Locks and...I have had the damndest time trying to remember this one, but I think it was Rose Petal something. All super-girly frilly doll stuff. It's kind of weird, actually, because I totally don't wear anything even remotely frilly or pink 99% of the time.

Anyhow, so this was me looking at old pony costumes and thinking on the Goth Lolita thing. If I ever get around to coloring this, I'll probably base her actual colors on Moondancer (because white pony with purple-streaked dark wine-red hair and purple eyes practically says 'goth' to me anyhow). Bonus points to you if you know which Pony Wear outfit this was based on. XD
