So here's the whee lil comic from last night that I inked... blargh, it's smeared all over the place. =/
Anyway... nothing's changed, I have but tidied it up a bit so that I can submit this, although looking at it now I'm sorely tempted it stuff this back under my scrap section... it's just so... smudged up. ;A;
If ANYONE out there can teach me how to ink properly, please halp. <:C

I ink either in OC or ArtRage. I was never really good at inking on paper either. But I did find it easier to avoid smudging doing small bits at a time, and wearing a fingerless glove on my drawing hand as it rested on the paper.
Again, good stuff though. It doesn't look that smudged to me. Was this all done on an 8 x 11 sheet?

Thanks a lot, I've actually tried using OC to ink before but I'm just oh so useless when it comes to using my tablet. =C Gloves sound like a good idea though, I should try that the next time I doodle, thanks! ^_^
And as for the size, I have no idea how big 8x11 is since we use the metric system here, but it's just on a standard A4 sized sketch book which is 210x297 mm. (Again, no idea how big that is in inches XD; )

Thanks a lot. ^_^ I'm not too great at inking, but I do try my best, the hardest part about inking, imo, is you gotta have a really steady hand, as you can't simply "undo" your inking if you make a mistake... so... I guess I best train up on that as well huh? >.>;
Glad ya like it though. :)

I took a quick look at your gallery and this is by far my favorite! Three good changes in one, all well drawn, especially the poses and expressions.
I wish i could help you with the inking, but im not any better myself. But im sure with practice youll get it down in no time.
Cant wait to see more from ya! =3

ill tell you inkow much about art but never heard any theorys of inking. what ive learned is that its all about the amout of pressure you use with the ink pen just like the pencil. but if you are having trouble with thickness of inking you could try geting ink pens with different size tips. instead of practicing try just playing around with inking make a few random doodles an ink them and mess around with it see what you can do then when you feel like you have messed around enough go on to the next thing. and remember to think of it like a pencil.
