is the 2DS really good because i hear a lot there the most ridcilios game pad ever playing your 3d game in 2ds?

bulky but more durable. it has no stereoscopic 3D capabilities but it comes with a 4GB SD card.

I like the idea of the 2DS, i was always really curious about the build quality.

I have my 3DS XL, what makes this unit better?
With no hinge, means you are more likely to break the screens now, and its not as compact anymore.

Its a cheap option for people to get the new DS without paying as much. Why can't people see that? It isnt any better then the other DS units but its cheaper. Ill be getting once just for pokemon cause I dont want to spend 170-200 for a DS when these sell for 129-139

because it doesn't have a hinge the unit overall is more durable, on a standard DS there is a wire going from the main body of the system to the top screen through the hinge, the more you open and close the system the weaker the wire gets, not to mention opening and closing the system puts stress on the hinge itself which eventually leads to the system breaking in half. if your really worried about the screens on the 2DS then apply screen protectors and buy the first party 2DS case which works great.

I would have to agree with your statement, but there are some out there that are... well, gravitationally challenged.
I may be slightly chubby, but my 6'2" height and 250lbs would have a high likely hood of crunching this thing just in my backpack.
Unless they are gorilla glass screens, I don't see it standing up to much abuse at all. I can't count that amount of busted screens on
ipads, ipods, cellphones of every like. The unit probably is cheaper, but those screens, once they are gone, they are gone.

A little cable can be replaced if you know how to do the work, or know someone that can do it, like a little tech shop.

But all in all, its their company, they call the shots. :P

trust me its alot more durable than a normal 3DS, the 3DS XL is likely more durable but it still has a hinge.

I got Pokemon X as well! Still playing Soul Silver though, and only halfway through - not sure if I should put that aside to play the new one while everyone else is, or if I should keep chopping at the game I'm already in. ^^;

I could? The online bank, the way I was reading it, I thought might only work with Black/White and the Version twos. Does it work with SoulSilver too, or would I need another DS?

you would have to have all of the Pokemon games between SoulSilver and X&Y.

they actually look better because the top screen isn't at a strange angle and since the screen isn't 3D the picture is clearer.
