Alt title: onoes teh sky is falling?

So I got my tablet today! I spent the evening practicing with it. I doodled randomly(not unlike my two year old niece), I made shapes(in that regard I am at least a -year- ahead of her), and then I traced one of Wolfy-Nail's line-art pieces(a wonderful horse amazon lady), to practice control and to get a feel for toony stuff.

And then I tried something on my own. And it turned into this lil guy, awwww. For a bird he is pretty cute. I added the head feathers basically to throw in some detail. It looked a bit bare without something, and I mean, what do birds have to make them interesting? No ears, no hair... oh well. I'm not sure what kind of bird he is, but I've seen something like that before.

Anyway. Just some practice art, but pretty good for a first try with the tablet, I think! Not a difficult piece or anything. Profiles are easy. Gotta start somewhere though.
