This is the only photo from the Magelight Photography photo shoot that made it onto their web site (the "best" one, in their opinion).
I like it pretty well, but I wish I had a personal assistant (much like an A-list celebrity) to rush in and make sure I look -perfect.- "Oh, Mr. De la Rue? Let me tuck your neck ruff into your coat. There, that's better. And let's show some more furry forearm. You have the loveliest forearms. And I'll tuck this belt in here so it's not flopping all over the place. And uh, let's not show so much boob. It's not gentlemanly."

Thanks very much. I wanted to do you guys proud.
At the moment, Clopan's "signature" outfit is the shirt/coat piece from a thrift-store Jack Sparrow costume, combined with a velvet "pirate" coat I found at a costumer's garage sale. I've been told it works, with or without the masquerade mask. I hope to glam up the coat a little in the near future by adding some trim.
At my previous Rainfurrest (2011), the backdrop and setup was a lot less fancy, but the photographers were much more hands-on about helping me choose poses and attending to the little details like the ones I was talking about. These guys weren't, but I can't complain too much about free pro photography.
