Polleo Merula, avian doyen and leader of the Banister as a whole. It's up to Polleo to make all final decisions concerning affairs within the Banister, including-- but not limited to-- situations involving war, poverty, and civil unrest.
Along with losing his eye to a scouting mission gone wrong, Polleo also lost his right wing to an explosion outside the Banister's cliffs. His back, right arm, and right leg are all covered in burns from the experience.
