I am only 20 years old, and I am writing a speech for Humanity...Enjoy!

Thank you for taking the time to listen to me…It is my hope that I can make a difference here that lasts for years. I have seen the best and worst of man, and I have chosen to go with the best that man can offer, not the worst. It is my biggest belief that all of mankind is born pure, hence the term “the innocence of youth”. But as we get older, the evils of the world seep into our hearts, minds and souls…We are capable of much greatness as human beings, but we choose to squander our gift from God; the power to create. We can create life on worlds, but instead we choose to destroy civilizations. We could be colonizing mars or an innumerable amount of planets that are most likely unknown to us. We could be exploring new worlds, finding new life, essentially living out star trek, but in reality. Instead, we choose to kill each other over a thing as old as the very conflict of humanity; Religion. I am not one to say that we should do away with religion, no. Religion is what has kept humanity going through some very dark times, and it has brought about some of the greatest times of good and beauty. We are beings of incredible kindness and compassion, but instead today we choose to hate, kill and steal from others. We kill each other over the smallest of things, when we could die for the betterment of humanity. We could be so many things, yet we are only one thing; corrupt, self-centered, short-sighted greedy parodies of what we once were. In the bible, or almost any religious text that covers creationism, it is stated that “we were created in God’s image”. Think about what that means. God is a being that can create, but can also destroy. He can love, but never truly hate. He is a being of complete good and love, and in this day and age, when we should be trying to expand the human race into the cosmos and create a new golden age for humanity, but instead we are in a war over little more than the resurgence of Nazism. We could be so much more, but we choose to be so little. Human beings are capable of so much, yet we choose to accomplish so little. We do not need to be like this! We can be beings of love and compassion! Not of hate, death and greed! We can all work together, to fill each other with the good that humanity is capable of! Not the current state that the world is in! We can all work together to the benefit of man! We all have the power to make this world a better place to live in! If we can do one thing; set aside our prejudices, and work together. We are all capable of this, but greed and hate have corrupted us. Men and women of humanity! Do not allow yourselves to become filled with hate! You all are capable of love, compassion and caring! Yet you allow yourselves to become filled with hate and greed. You are all more capable than this! We can all work together to bring about a golden age of humanity! In the past, and by these promises, brutes and tyrants have risen to power. But they do not provide for humanity! They take away from it, they provide for themselves, but in doing so, they take away from the betterment of humanity, and also show the worst in humanity! Their times have come and gone, let us all come together and work as one for the betterment of humanity! Men, Women and Children of the world, let us all settle our differences, or at the very least allow each other to live in peace! We are ALL human! We are not machines! We are not mindless drones! We are human! We have the love of humanity in our hearts. Men, Women and Children of the world, let us stop these conflicts that plague our world! We are capable of so much. Now let us unite, not under the banner of democracy alone, but the banner of Human Progress! Let us fight for a world that will be devoid of barriers, devoid of greed, of hate and intolerance! Let us all fight for a world that will reward those who apply themselves, and do away with leeches of society! Let us fight for a new world! One that will offer work for all, provide our youth a future that they can embrace and give the old age a security that they can enjoy. Let us all fight the hate that plagues our world today! Let us fight for global unity! Let us fight to do away with greed, hate and intolerance! In Egypt, Libya and Syria, just to name a few, are fighting to do away with what Osama Bin Laden envisioned and set up a western democracy! Let us not stop in the middle east, let us all fight for human progress in eastern Europe, Asia, everywhere! I am not calling for democracy all over the globe, but I call for all of us, Jew, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, all of us to set aside our differences, forgive grudges and put all our greatest minds together to help us all create a better humanity! Let us restart the space race, but instead of planting a flag on another planet, let us work to plant a tree on another planet! We could be capable of so much, so let us fight for the betterment of humanity! People of the world, I call upon you, not to lead revolutions, but to lead in advances of technology! Put your lives toward something that will help humanity! Everyone, in the name of humanity, let us all unite! Let us unite under the banner of humanity! Let us all work towards the betterment of all humanity, and work towards expanding humanity into the cosmos! Every human of Earth, let us all unite! Thank you.
