I got this awesome picture in 
Gravewalker 's live stream yesterday and it just blew my mind watching her draw this!
Sometimes it really baffles me how something this beautiful can be declared as a colored sketch... but I guess that comes with the talent ^^
But seriously this has to be the most fun I ever had during a livestream, usually I'm more of the silent watcher type, caused by general shyness yadayadayada...
But this was an absolute blast, so many really nice and polite people who all were real fun to talk with, I pretty much had verbal diarrhoea, I haven't talked this much in ... forever! So to everyone reading this attending the stream : You are awesome! And thank you for the good time!
That of course goes double for Gravy herself! She is a very kind and understanding person from what I can tell, go check her out if you haven't already ^^ She deserves the attention.
I can hardly wait to get another commission from her...and I won't even start to tell you what I like about the picture itself, there is so much I love, the colors, the posing... Gravewalker at her finest!

They definitely have different personalities, but it's not a major characteristic of her I always want to shove into view. I always thought about it like this :
If you grew up like that you'd most likely get used to it in some fashion and thus get into less arguments :)

Augh that's a longerish story.
You see back in school I used to play in a Dungeons and Dragons group where I later on met my now fiance. After a few years we met together again and started a adventure in the Eberron setting where my fiance was acting as the DM, it just so happened that he planned to "fuse" three of our characters together into a Cerberus like being to give us an incentive to find out a few things. Sadly this didn't click too well with the other two persons involved and they left our group shortly after, so I was stuck with that Cerberus character, but not wanting to quit this campaign (It was awesome till that point!) and after a while I just grew accustomed to her, so when I joined this fandom, I pondered on what to represent me as...and since by that point Cora had become my longest running active DnD character I chose her to represent me, tweaked a few things, threw on my RL mess of a hair and bampf :D
Dobie Cerberus, but I have to give quite a lot of credit to the artists that actually drew her, they had to go off of my description only and did an awesome job with it, to be honest her DnD incarnation had pitch black hair but when I got to commission
Patto I forgot to tell her that which led to the red hair I just adore now ^^

I know I'm late in saying this, but this commission turned out wonderfully. You seem to have an excellent taste in art - I've really come to enjoy your gallery, and it has really put the idea of multiple-headed characters in a good light for me. I'd have expected a gigantic version of the guardian of the Underworld to be rather cruel... But for the most part she seems very gentle, and that is comforting.
I do have a quick question, though. Is each of her heads a different "person" so to say? Or are they all controlled by the same consciousness?

To answer your question : They are something in between. In total all three heads act as a single consciousness but every head is one extreme of that personality. One is usually friendly and open minded, the other one encompasses the more negative emotions while the middle head stands for just that, the middle ground between the two, more laid back and reasonable. :)

I see - I really like how you handled the personalities. She's quite an intricate character and not just a pretty face (or... faces?).
On a similar note, while I'm hammering you with questions, I noticed in several other pictures that each head has different colored eyes. Is that just to represent and emphasize the different personalities? Or are they actually different colors?

Every head has a different eyecolor. This is to emphasize the different personalities as you correctly guessed. But patto back in the day mistook the faint colors in the original commission for yellow and that kinda seems to have stuck since then, even though a few thoughtful artists actually start to add in the different colored eyes again ^^

Cora is really a fascinating character. This may a bit abrupt but I'll throw it out there anyway. I'm a writer over on deviantart, working both with a main 'novel' series and several stand-alone stories. I don't know how you feel about 'fan art' but it would be a privilege to write a story about your character. If you're open to the idea, I would love to run my ideas past you either here or on your Da account. And of course I would include links to your gallery and give you full credit for the creation and ownership of Cora. And if you're not interested, that's fine too - I know this is coming out of nowhere.
