I have very mixed feelings about this painting.
I LOVE the way the torso came out, and from a distance, it looks spectacular! The fur texture I tried out works well in a lot of places, and less well in others, but overall it was pretty successful. I enjoy the pose and the facial expression and the detail on the face~
However, things I DON'T want to hear about:
the lighting. Yeah, there is no defined light source and everything is 100% wishy washy. I seem to have given very little care with regards to where the hell the shadows went, and I apologize for that.
The perspective. I just scribbled it out in the beginning and ran with it. It's not perfect, and neither am I~
The wrinkles. NOBODY IS ALLOWED TO COMMISSION ME FOR A BED PICTURE FOR AT LEAST 2 WEEKS.
That being said~ I think the overall read is pretty strong, and the pup looks pretty eager to see you in bed with him... but first we need to figure out how to get you off the ceiling because apparently that's where you are.
