I didn't really view that as negative, just an observation they view as interesting.
The small head thing is an intentional exaggerated human proportion, to make a person look super huge, this method is commonly seen in comic books and video games. (ex: Gears of War, Team Fortress, and etc).
It is interesting to me people didn't point out that he have humanly impossibly thick wrist, or he has tiny oblique when comparing to his abdomens.
Maybe it's because how the picture is rendered that make certain exaggerated aspect stand out, or because other parts aren't exaggerated enough.

Yeah, I just think there are better ways to critique a piece than with snarky one-liners. ;) I've seen the small head exaggeration in a lot of those same places you mentioned, as well as in a fair bit of kemono art on sites like PixIV. As you said, it's a pretty widespread stylization of the human form. You did a very good job with it. :)
