For this month's  conbadgeexchange I got  santiyume as a match, and was requested to do his red panda character Akeeto.

I had so much fun and got tons of positive feedback from my last badge, so I decided to stick with the soft, stitched theme. I switched to felt as I had seen some cute examples on Etsy and Pinterest and the like. I had to take a little bit of artistic liberty with the colors, because my local craft stores don't carry that many colors of felt. Next time, I'll source real wool felt from the internet for a broader color palette.

On the ref provided, there was a little doodle of Akeeto with his eyes closed in the corner. It was so danged cute, I decided to replicate that expression here. I think it fits well with the soft fuzziness of the medium. The little petal shapes were fun to make, but I think I should have made more. The only last thing to do is put an eyelet in the top and ship it out!

Polyester felt from the craft store (but I think the red has a little wool in it)
Sewing thread
Embroidery floss
Pearl cotton
two sided iron on interfacing to piece it together
